Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist

Hello, I am Freya.

I am a Child and Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapist dedicated to supporting young people as they navigate the complexities of growing up. I provide a warm, empathetic, and collaborative therapeutic space tailored to the unique emotional world of each child and young adult.

My practice is deeply trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming. Together, we look gently beneath the surface to explore how past and present relationships shape how a young person experiences, and makes sense of, the world around them.

Who I work with

I work with children, adolescents, and young adults aged 5 to 25.

Often, young people express what is too difficult to put into words through their emotions, behaviours, and relationships. I offer specialized support for those experiencing:

  • Anxiety and emotional difficulties

  • Questions around identity and developing a sense of self

  • The complex effects of trauma

  • Navigating the world as a neurodivergent individual

  • Self-harm

  • Low mood

  • Bereavement

  • Relationship difficulties - family, friendships

  • School stress

  • Transitions

  • Parental / Family separation

What to Expect from Therapy
Therapy offers a safe, containing, and confidential space where curiosity, understanding, and emotional growth can unfold over time. My aim is to help young people feel truly seen and understood—both by others and by themselves. Through our work, I support them in developing a greater sense of confidence, a secure sense of self, and the emotional freedom to thrive.
